Party on the Porch is BACK!

Party on the Porch—commonly known as POP by our staff and guests—is a periodic event that we at Alabama Outdoors host. Our goal? To engage with our community, help build connections among members of our surrounding areas, and deliver a fun break on a normal Friday night. 

Now I know you may be asking, "What is Party on the Porch?" What started as a fun way to connect with our local neighborhood has snowballed into something bigger—and we can't wait to introduce a brand-new Party on the Porch.

Now, if you’ve been to one of our POPs before, you probably remember how distinct it was. Drinks, a band, some areas for cornhole, and more. However, we’ve decided that our beloved party needs a rebrand, so we’re shaking it up! And don’t worry, we’ve listed all our fun new additions below, so you can get the full picture of what is to come! 

1. Free Admission

We know that sometimes it's fun to go out and try events around town—so we want to make that experience as seamless as possible!  Enjoy free admission to make friends, build community, and explore the Homewood area.  

2. Philanthropy 

Our Party on the Porch will be benefiting the Homewood City Schools Foundation. Homewood is our original location, and a big part of our identity here at AO. We could not be more excited to help out our local community's schools!

3. Exclusive Vendors

We are also proud to announce that we will have Birkenstock as our vendors at this POP. Browse the Birkenstock Tent for a fun charm bar experience! Pick out a pair of Birkenstocks and customize them with unique charms to make them your own. Can't make it Friday? No worries! They'll be back at our Homewood store Saturday from 10 AM-4 PM as well.

4. Free Drinks for Donors (21+) 

As a thank you to those who donate $10 or more to United Ability’s philanthropy, we are offering free drinks! (As long as you are over 21). Think of it as our way of paying it forward and thanking you for supporting their cause.  

5. Raffles

Every donation to Homewood City Schools Foundation also enters you for a chance to win our raffle! Stick around and listen for the raffle, with prizes such as: One of two $100 Alabama Outdoors Gift Cards, a free pair of Altras, a 50% voucher for a future Par-Tee-Pars simulator, and a free pair of Birkenstocks!

6. Live DJ 

We're keeping the tunes flowing with DJ Carson Bruce. Look forward to a lively atmosphere with family-friendly tracks everyone can enjoy

7. Par-Tees Pars Golf Simulator 

We're excited to have Par-Tees Par Golf Simulator on-site for all the golfers. Featuring a fun, inflatable golf simulator, you can try out courses like Ross Bridge, Pebble Beach, and Augusta National 

8. Exclusive Merch  

We will have exclusive Party on the Porch merchandise available! In-house printed shirts with an exclusive POTP design you can't find anywhere else. Show off your attendance in style with pieces that can only be bought at this event!

9. Fun Food Trucks 

With this POP revamp, we’ve decided to reach out to local vendors and have many options for food at our event. We've got all your favorite food trucks, plus exciting sweet options from Sweet Chill!
